Fabrizio Romano has provided a big update on Benjamin Pavard amid interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.
Pavard has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with a move away from Bayern Munich on the cards.
Premier League duo Man United and Arsenal have been linked with his services this summer as Mikel Arteta looks for cover following the injury to Jurrien Timber, who suffered a crushing knee injury against Nottingham Forest.

But it appears the Frenchman could be heading to Italy's Serie A, according to transfer expert Romano.
He claims Inter Milan and Bayern are in 'direct contact' over a deal after a bid of €25 million was submitted on Thursday.
The 27-year-old is pushing for an exit, having been at the German giants since 2019.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has admitted the club's interest in Pavard, calling the proposed transfer an 'objective' for the club.
"Pavard is an objective, I don’t want to talk about players from other teams. He’s not the only one. But we need a player in that department," he said.
Inzaghi added: "Darmian was a very important man last season thanks to his versatility, so must thank him. But I need competition in all roles. This would also increase the intensity in training.

"I haven’t read Arrigo Sacchi’s analyses but we’ll try to make those who don’t sing our praise change their mind with strong performances on the pitch.
"Personally, I’m not interested, but I hope they say good things about my players because they’ve been doing excellent things for two years."
The defender has plied his trade in Germany since 2016, having moved to Stuttgart from Lille before transferring to Bayern.
He played 43 games in all competitions last season, scoring seven goals.
