Manchester United could be offered the chance to snap up Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard for free.
So far this summer, United have spent big on the likes of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund.
With less than two weeks to go until the transfer window closes, United have been linked with Bayern man Pavard as Erik ten Hag targets more defensive cover for his squad.

It has been reported that Ten Hag wanted Pavard to replace Harry Maguire, who was linked with a move to West Ham United before the deal stalled.
Ten Hag is believed to have promised Pavard a starting place in his United side.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Pavard has spoken to Bayern CEO Jan Christian Dreesden over his future amid interest from United and Italian giants Inter Milan.

Bayern have previously stated that the Frenchman is a non-transferable player but have now appeared to change their stance.
It has been claimed that the German champions are looking for a fee of around £34 million, excluding add-ons.
However, with United yet to make it offer due to concerns over Financial Fair Play and Inter having reportedly only offered £20 million, Bayern may have to lower their demands.

If no suitable offers are placed, the club are set to consider letting Pavard leave on a free transfer in 2024 when his contract expires.
This will mean that United could swoop in and land one of their targets for absolutely nothing.
Speaking recently, Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel has said that Pavard is yet to express a desire to depart Bavaria.
He said: “Benji hasn't communicated to me that he really wants to leave.

“As of now, there hasn't been an offer. He's our player and gets full support. Until that changes, we're fully counting on him.”
Bayern will kick off their Bundesliga season on Friday as they take on Werder Bremen.
