A section of Italian media has heaped praise on Cesc Fabregas’ coaching credentials after Como beat title challengers Napoli 2-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
On Saturday, Como claimed victory over Napoli courtesy of Amir Rrahmani’s own goal and a second half Assane Diao strike to go 13th in the table and seven points clear of the drop zone.
Meanwhile, Napoli, who were nine games unbeaten before kick off, have conceded a one point advantage to Inter at the Serie A summit.

After the game, sections of the Italian media heaped praise on Como boss Fabregas for getting the better of his former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Fabregas played under Conte for two seasons at Chelsea between 2016 and 2018, with the pair winning the Premier League and FA Cup together.
SportItalia’s Tancredi Palmeri said, in a tweet translated from Italian: “Fabregas took his master's degree in front of maestro Conte.

“The incredible thing is that Napoli lead by a wide margin with 9 chances to 3, but in terms of play in the Second Half there is no comparison.
“Como constantly seeking victory and domination, Napoli are only counterattacking.”
The victory was just Como’s second over Napoli in Serie A, and their first triumph over the Naples outfit since November 1952.
Indeed, Como had faced Napoli 18 times since that Fifties win, and lost on 14 occasions.

Como claimed victory despite creating few chances, with only two of their shots being on target across the first half.
At full-time Fabregas said: “We want to play in a certain way with a lot of personality and courage.
“There is no better way, but we have this mentality.

“We still have to improve many things. I told the players not to give up and believe: I gave them 2 days off”
Next up for Fabregas' side will be a trip to Roma, while Napoli face a daunting showdown with leaders Inter earlier.
