Al Hilal fans wound up Cristiano Ronaldo with a chant as the Al Nassr star was walking off the field having been red carded.
On Monday, Ronaldo was sent off for elbowing an opponent during his side’s 2-1 Saudi Super Cup defeat by Al Hilal.
The 39-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner was shown a straight red card in the game’s 86th minute after appearing to twice elbow Ali Al Bulayhi’s chest, with the centre-back falling to the floor. The incident sparked a melee of pushing a shoving between the two sets of players.

A furious Ronaldo then appeared to raise his fist towards the referee and sarcastically pat one of the match officials on the shoulder before leaving the field.
As he was walking off, having received his first red card since moving to Al Nassr in December 2022, Al Hilal fans taunted the Portugal star by chanting the name of his great rival Lionel Messi. You can watch it in the below clip.
Ronaldo wildly gesticulated and sarcastically clapped the supporters as he walked off the pitch.

Al Nassr were trailing 2-0 at the stage Ronaldo was sent off, after goals from Salem Al-Dawsari and Malcom.
However, former Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane pulled one back in stoppage time.
Al Hilal, who are three-time winners of the competition, will play Al Ittihad in the final on Thursday.
Earlier on Monday Al Ittihad beat Al-Wehda 2-1 in their semi-final after goals from former Real Madrid skipper Karim Benzema and Morocco forward Abderrazak Hamdallah.

It’s not the first time Ronaldo has found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons in Saudi Arabia.
In February the former United star was suspended for one match by Saudi Arabia’s football chiefs after he appeared to make an obscene gesture in Al Nassr's win over Al Shabab.
