Bayern Munich and Liverpool are understood to still be ‘miles apart’ in their valuation of wantaway star Sadio Mane.
It had previously been reported that the deal was very close, but emerging reports now suggest that the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on the fee for the Senegalese international.
The Bundesliga champions’ initial offer was believed to be in the region of £21 million plus an additional £4.6 million in add-ons, if Bayern were to win the Champions League in Mane’s spell at the club.

However, according to the Mail, this offer was rejected by Liverpool as they hold out for a more substantial fee.
Bayern are now set to launch a second bid worth up to £30 million. This is still way short of the Merseyside club’s £42.5 million valuation, as they look to find a replacement for the 30-year-old.
Mane has one-year remaining on his current deal, and is unlikely to sign a new contract as reputable rumours circulate around his future. Despite a hugely successful six year spell at Anfield, the forward is looking for a new challenge.
It’s understood that despite the disputes over the fee, an agreement between both parties is expected to be reached and Liverpool expect the Germans to bow to their demands eventually.

If Mane is to depart the North West this summer, it’ll bring to an end a glorious time at the club where he managed 120 goals in 269 appearances, as well as winning the Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
The Senegalese forward also won the African Cup of Nations for his country during his time at Liverpool, scoring the winning penalty in a shootout against Egypt earlier this year. Mane joked earlier this week that because “60 to 70 percent of Senegal” want him to leave Anfield this summer, he’ll do what they want.
He later insisted this was indeed a joke and that he maintains full respect for Liverpool.
