Manchester United have made an official bid to get the ball rolling for the summer transfer window, reports say.
Ahead of the Manchester derby with rivals City on Sunday, United find themselves sitting in 13th place under Ruben Amorim and in desperate need of reinforcements in the summer.
The club have already been linked with an ambitious move for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde but it's well documented that United have made a new striker a priority transfer in the summer.

Rasmus Hojlund, a £72 million signing from Atalanta, has struggled to be the number nine United had hoped and found the net just three times in the Premier League this term.
The Dane ended a 21-game goal drought against Leicester but again struggled against Nottingham Forest, with Harry Maguire offering more when deployed as an emergency striker.
Joshua Zirkzee has also been anything but prolific after signing from Bologna and United continue to be linked with the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.

However, according to reports in Turkey, United have already submitted an offer for another of Europe's most in-demand strikers.

According to journalist Arda Ozkurt, both United and Arsenal have tabled bids for Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
The Nigeria international was said to be close to moving to Chelsea or the Saudi Pro League the summer but no deal materialised before the deadline, leading to him eventually joining Galatasaray on temporary deal.

Osimhen has notched 28 goals in 32 games for the Turkish giants, who are desperate to sign him on a permanent deal and "ready to make sacrifices" to make it happen.

But United and Arsenal see him as the ideal candidate to fill their striker void, while Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are said to be keeping tabs.
Osimhen is almost definitely not returning to parent club Napoli after burning bridges and will have a year remaining on his deal when the summer rolls around.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen is poised to have an active release clause between €75 million and €80 million - though he would also command a hefty wage packet.
