Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds' obsession with ongoings at the football club is halting production of Deadpool 3 according to the film's director Shawn Levy.
The Deadpool star completed his purchase of the North Wales club alongside 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' creator and actor Rob McElhenney in 2021 and recently completed their initial goal of guiding the Red Dragons back into the Football League.
Last month, Wrexham secured the National League title and promotion to League Two after a sensational battle with Notts County, who have subsequently achieved promotion via the play-offs.

The Canadian's entrepreneurial activities with not only Wrexham but his gin company 'Aviation Gin' as well as 'Mint Mobile' and 'Maximum Effort' have arguably made people forget that the 46-year-old is first and foremost a Hollywood actor.
According to the director of the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie, which is scheduled for release next year, Shawn Levy, the series' star has been distracted by his work with Wrexham, who will undoubtedly be targeting a second consecutive promotion next season.

Speaking to E-Talk on the red carpet of the Emmy Awards back in September, Levy jokingly said: "Firstly, Ryan's obsession with Wrexham is a problem. His obsession with Canada was already a problem but it was a problem we could support. It was like a dirty little habit but also like a loveable habit. His obsession with Wrexham, also by the way, the obsession of all of Wales with Ryan Reynolds is becoming problematic. I'm trying to get us ready to shoot Deadpool and he's so distracted by this football team."
The director, who is best known for directing the 'Night at the Museum' franchise and being a producer on Netflix show 'Stranger Things', additionally told the reporter: "No, I can't get you tickets, and B I need to downgrade his obsession because he can't get any work done."
Reynolds and McElhenney have already gifted Wrexham players with a post-promotion trip to Las Vegas and the Red Dragons will return stateside in July to take on Manchester United, Chelsea and LA Galaxy II in pre-season friendlies.
