How Ryan Reynolds really feels about owning Wrexham has been revealed by an insider who claims the Hollywood star is set to make a major career sacrifice.
Reynolds purchased Wrexham alongside American actor Rob McElhenney back in 2021.
The duo were so committed to the club that they released a full mission statement which included five key promises to supporters.

Since the takeover, Wrexham have gone from being a non-league side to battling for promotion to the Championship in less than five years, so it's safe to say the Hollywood duo haven't done a bad job so far.
According to an inside source at Life and Style, Wrexham has become such a big part of Reynolds' life he is even willing to sacrifice his role as Deadpool to pursue his Wrexham adventure.
A source said: “Ryan’s work in the Deadpool movies has generated billions of dollars in ticket sales and it’s kept him firmly on the Hollywood A-list, but the Wrexham project has been a lot closer to his heart and the partnership with Rob McElhenney continues to bear real fruit.

"But there’s a longer game he’s playing here too—for all the work he has plowed into Deadpool, Ryan doesn’t own the character or those movies, and eventually somebody else is going to play that role.
“It’s apples and oranges to compare the these two franchises," the source added.
It is reported that the huge success of Welcome to Wrexham has played a major role in Reynolds' thought process, as it combines his two worlds of sport and entertainment.

"It’s the soccer club and it’s spin-off show, Welcome to Wrexham, that has captured Ryan’s heart, and that strong connection he has to the place is now allowing him to expand his businesses into new territories and capture entire new fan bases in the process.”
“Even though Ryan has already sold a minority stake in the team, he and Rob are going to maintain control of the club and keep making the unscripted series as long as they can,” the source added.
