Madrid won a 14th Champions League on Saturday after getting better of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side in a final marred by crowd trouble at the Stade de France.
Los Blancos have wasted no time in adding to their winning squad, after a bitterly disappointing end to their pursuit of Paris Saint Germain star man Kylian Mbappe, they have swiftly turned their attention to another star from the French Ligue 1, in the shape of Monaco midfielder Tchouameni.

The 22-year-old is one of the most sought after players in Europe, having showed what he is capable of for Monaco in the last couple of seasons. he has earned himself eight international caps too, and has attracted the interests of big clubs around Europe.
It has now been reported that Madrid are closing in on a deal worth €100 million to bring Tchouameni to the Bernabeu. According to journalist Santi Aouna, who tweeted: "Info: Real Madrid and AS Monaco are in the process of reaching an agreement around the exceptional sum of 100M € bonus included for Aurélien Tchouameni. Final details to be settled in the next few days."
PSG and Liverpool were believed to have registered interest in the French midfielder but the player’s wish was to sign for Madrid. Liverpool have been declared ‘out of the race’ and will turn their attention to other midfielders. And Madrid are believed to be one step ahead of PSG in all aspects of any potential transfer. Madrid seems to be the next destination for the talented midfielder.
By signing Tchouameni, Madrid potentially have the perfect replacements for the ageing trio of Toni Kroos(32), Luka Modric(36) and Casemiro(30). Tchouameni will join the likes of 19-year-old Eduardo Camavinga and 23-year-old Federico Valverde who are waiting in the wings to eventually replace the experienced trio.
