Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has already voiced his admiration for a Premier League club.
Tchouameni, 24, joined Madrid from Monaco in 2022 for a reported fee of £83m (including potential add-ons).
However, in his 102 appearances for the club, he has failed to live up to the high expectations that came with his price tag.

Recently, the France international has fallen out of favour in the Spanish capital; he was rested for the 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund on October 22 before appearing as a substitute in the 4-0 mauling at the hands of Barcelona on October 26.
The likes of Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Dani Ceballos, Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham are all part of Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield contingent.
His impressive options may mean Tchouameni could fall down the pecking order.
There is no doubting his potential, but putting together a consistent run of good performances has proved difficult for the Frenchman.

However, before he joined the 15-time European champions, he flirted with a potential move to another huge club.
The midfielder explained his admiration for his current side and Liverpool before he opted for a move to Spain.
"I like both [Real Madrid and Liverpool]: I can watch Spanish games and English games," he told CNN.
"It's different to play in Spain, and it's different to play in England, but at the end, for me, it's just a matter of adaptation.”

"I'm an ambitious person,” he added.
“Every time I do something, I just want to win.
"If I want to be great, I have to adapt to find some stuff that will allow me to grow as a player.”

In 2022, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago were Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice centre-midfielders, so opportunities at Anfield may have been limited.
However, all three players have since left the club.
Liverpool’s desire to sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window was fairly obvious as they tried to tempt Real Sociedad's 'number six’ Martin Zubimendi to join the club – but he decided against the transfer.
As a result, Arne Slot was forced to play Ryan Gravenberch in a deeper role than usual, but so far, he has been up to the task.

Liverpool have little competition in the position, with 31-year-old Wataru Endo providing backup to the Dutchman.
This could mean a move to Merseyside would possibly suit Tchouaméni as he would have less competition for a place in the side compared to Madrid.
