Gareth Southgate is reportedly in contention o join a shock Premier League club just three months after stepping down as England manager following the 2024 European Championship.
After eight years in charge, Southgate announced that he was resigning as manager of the England national team in July, following his side's 2-1 loss to Spain in the final of Euro 2024.
Since leaving the England job, Southgate has been regularly linked with Manchester United amid the mounting pressure on current boss Erik ten hag.

But now, a new report has revealed that another surprise Premier League side are considering bringing Southgate back to club football.
According to The Guardian, Southgate is being considered as a replacement for Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who is facing pressure following a dismal start to the 2024/25 Premier League season.
As it stands, the London club sit 18th in the Premier League table with three points from eight matches and are yet to win a match in the competition this season for the first time since 1992.

Despite this, Glasner is still backed by the majority of the board after he impressed last season, but he will be replaced if recent form continues and they remain winless in the Premier League by the November international break.
Prior to taking on the job with the Three Lions, Southgate's only role as a manager was with Middlesbrough, who he managed for three years between 2006 and 2009 before being dismissed in October 2009 shortly after the club had been relegated from the Premier League.
But, the Eagles may struggle to lure Southgate to the club, after the 54-year-old announced that he would be taking a break from management following the Euros.

Speaking at the European Club Association general assembly in Athens earlier this month, Southgate said: "I won't coach in the next year for sure, I'm certain of that.
"I need to give myself time to make good decisions.
"When you come out of a really big role you need to give your body time, you need to give your mind time.
"I'm enjoying my life, so there's no rush."

Therefore, the Palace board are reportedly also considering former Chelsea boss Graham Potter and ex-West Ham manager David Moyes as other potential replacements.
