Peter Crouch couldn't believe it after waking up next to TV presenter Holly Willoughby on an episode of BBC's 'The Michael McIntyre Show'.
The 41-year-old has become something of a national treasure since retiring from professional football in 2019.
His infectious personality and crossover into the mainstream media makes you forget he was once a clinical Premier League striker.

Crouch scored 106 goals in the English top-flight, one of only 33 players to have broken the century mark. He also made 42 appearances for the England national team, scoring 22 times.
Despite those accolades, it looks like the highlight of his life was waking up next to Willoughby. Check out the footage for yourself below.
So, this one will take a bit of explaining. Crouch took part in a real-life spot the difference and had his wife Abbey Clancy swapped out for another woman.

He was tasked with spotting the difference between the pair and had no idea who the other woman would be.
Popular referee Mike Dean managed to make an appearance as well in a bid to oversee the action. Yes, we were just as confused as you when the video loaded up.
"So, basically, the lights are gonna be turned off," McIntyre.
"When the lights are turned back on, you are going to need to spot as many differences as you can."

What's most shocking is how long it took Crouch to tell the difference between Willoughby and Clancy, who he met in 2006 and married in 2011.
Crouch did manage to notice McIntyre was wearing a green hat and Dean was holding a cucumber. Don't ask us how they came up with these wild ideas. It's far beyond our comprehension.
The former Liverpool forward then turned to his 'wife', while shirtless, then put his head under the covers before letting out a massive laugh.

McIntyre then asked: "So did you notice any other differences?"
"It's Holly Willoughby!" Crouch managed to reply. "I wasn't expecting that one!"
With a huge grin on her face, broadcaster Willoughby assured Crouch: "This is weird for me too."

Crouch regularly appears on BT Sport as an analyst for their Premier League and Champions League coverage. He won't have any trouble remembering what Jake Humphrey looks like at least.
