Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has claimed Erik ten Hag has not used 'his squad enough' during his time at Old Trafford following their 2-0 win against Everton this afternoon.
The Red Devils currently sit in third place within the Premier League after goals from Scotland international Scott McTominay and French striker Antony Martial secured all three points against Sean Dyche's men this afternoon.
Erik ten Hag will be desperate to solidify his sides place in the top four however United will face stiff opposition from the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion who all have hopes of gatecrashing the Champions League spots this season.
The win against The Toffees has now opened up a three-point-gap on Eddie Howe's side in fourth, who are being followed closely by Spurs and Brighton. A win which saw the likes of Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all introduced into the starting lineup.

These were changes that in some cases were needed, such as the injury to Luke Shaw opening up a spot for Malacia. However, former United midfielder Paul Scholes believes simple rotations such as these have not come on a frequent enough basis from Erik ten Hag this season. Speaking on BT Sport, Scholes said: “Something I don’t think Ten Hag has done is use his squad enough.
"When players have come into a game they’ve really struggled at first to pick up the pace a bit and there’s a few of those positions - Malacia at left-back.
“Maguire’s got experience, I think it’s a decent game for him to come into today. It’s not easy when you’re coming in, Harry just has to make sure he’s prepared properly and he’s training properly.

“He looks the type of lad who will be doing that and he’s played for England, but coming to Manchester United, coming to the Premier League, it’s slightly different, he’ll be tested more, but I expect him to deal with it.”
