Liverpool are reportedly one of many clubs keen on signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo after his strong start to the 2022/23 season.
The Reds are ‘keeping tabs’ on the 20-year-old according to 90min, but Manchester United - who he rejected to join Brighton in January 2021, maintain their strong interest this time around.
Caicedo, 20, has been one of the stars of the season so far for the Seagulls. He produced a ‘fantastic’ performance at Old Trafford, which manager Graham Potter lauded via The Argus.

“I thought his first-half performance was so impressive. He is not that old and is still adapting and learning but he has great qualities.
“He’s fantastic, he really is.
“I think, for young players, they just need to play more games and not put too much pressure on them but we enjoy working with him. He’s a great guy and I think you could see his quality.”
He joined amidst interest from Europe’s elite for an undisclosed fee from Independiente del Valle, making his debut the following season in a Carabao Cup win over Cardiff City.

Caicedo was loaned to Belgian outfit Beerschot last season but had his loan cut short due to an injury crisis in midfield at the Amex, returning to make eight appearances and score his first Premier League goal on the final day against Manchester United.
Against the same opponents on the opening day, he put in a commanding midfield performance a the Seagulls shocked the world by winning 2-1 at Old Trafford. He was earmarked as the replacement for Yves Bissouma, who left the club to join Tottenham this summer - and is living up to the bill so far.
Liverpool are going through a difficult period injury-wise, but a signing like Caicedo could make sense for now and the future.
At 20 he is already proving that he can be a top talent in the Premier League, and at Liverpool he can be amongst a strong South American contingent.

He would be able to cover for Thiago, Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who are out injured, whilst still having a high ceiling which a manager like Jurgen Klopp could unlock in the coming years.
