Frank Lampard confirmed that Mount will not play for the rest of the campaign after suffering a pelvic injury, and will undergo surgery.

While the news could have a major impact on whether Liverpool try to sign the 24-year-old.
Lampard also revealed Reece James will be absent for the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury.

“Mason has been carrying this pelvic injury for quite a while. He’s been trying but we’re at the stage now where he will have minor surgery and a four-week recovery, and we all know where that gets us to.”
Mount has played 35 times in total this term, but his Chelsea future remains unclear with the England international yet to agree fresh terms, with his current deal due to expire next year.
