Manchester United’s hopes of keeping Marcus Rashford have been given a boost after details emerged of Paris Saint-Germain’s underwhelming contract offer.
Rashford has been in excellent form for United so far this term, scoring 11 goals in 22 games across all competitions.
The 25-year-old also netted three times in England’s run to the quarter-final of the World Cup in Qatar.

The winger is under contract with United until 2024 after the club triggered a one-year contract extension. However, PSG are keen to sign him for free when his current deal expires.
Rashford’s PSG contract
Italian publication Calciomercatoweb has claimed PSG are willing to offer Rashford a €10 million (£8.79million) a year deal to entice him away from Manchester.
However, according to the Mirror, Rashford’s current deal at United sees him earn £200,000 per week, which works out at more than £10.4million.
Furthermore, first-team football will be harder to come by at PSG, with the French side’s forward line already boasting Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Nevertheless, PSG publicly expressed their interest in Rahford last month.
President of the Ligue 1 giants, Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports, before Rashford has signed his extension: “He’s another player that is really amazing. And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely.
“We’re not hiding it, we spoke before and… interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe, summer, why not?
“Today if he’s a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we’re interested we will talk to him.”
