Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is now worth a fraction of what the club paid for him just three years ago.
Van de Beek was tipped for a bright future at Old Trafford when he was signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2020.
The Dutchman impressed for Ajax on the European stage back in 2019, helping the Dutch side reach the Champions League semi-final after beating European giants Real Madrid and Juventus along the way.

However, he has failed to live up to expectations at United where he has struggled for regular game time.
Subsequently, he was sent out on loan to Everton last season, where he showed fleeting glimpses of quality, but was ultimately unable to make an impression.
On his return to Old Trafford, the 26-year-old may have hoped for a resurgence under new manager Erik ten Hag, having previously worked closely with him at Ajax.

However, he has been limited to just 10 appearances in all competitions after suffering a serious knee injury during United's Premier League clash against Bournemouth in January, which has ruled him out for the campaign.
While his lack of playing time has left a number of question marks over his future at United, with the midfielder tipped to leave the club as apart of a mass 15-man clear-out.
But should Ten Hag choose to sell Van De Beek this summer, the Red Devils are very unlikely to recoup what they originally paid to sign him, with the player's price tag having taken a dramatic nose dive.
How much is Van de Beek worth now?
Van de Beek was signed for £35 million three years ago. According to CIES, the Netherlands international is now worth just £4.3m, with his value having fallen by nearly 88%.

However, United would reportedly want £25 million if they were to sell Van de Beek, whose contract is due to expire in 2025.
