PSG's owners have considered the sale of Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United since January, according a new report - on two conditions.
Speculation over the French forward's future has risen following reports on Monday that he had stated to PSG, in a formal letter, that he would not exercise an option to extend his contract by a year.
Mbappe's current deal expires in the summer of 2024, meaning he can open pre-contract talks in January if a new deal is not agreed.

PSG's intention, according to Fabrizio Romano, is not to allow the player to leave on a free but to convince him to sign a new contract. Currently, he is one of the highest-paid players in world football.
On Tuesday afternoon, however, Mbappe took to Twitter to make his thoughts clear on a summer move: "The bigger it is, the more it passes. I have already said that I will continue next season at PSG where I am very happy."
PSG now must decide whether to effectively overrule the player's aim and sell him this summer. ESPN claim they are willing to listen to offers of €150 million from interested clubs.

One of those clubs could be United - and a new report makes an intriguing claim about the player's potential next step.
PSG 'considering Mbappe sale'
According to El Pais (via Sport Witness), PSG have been 'studying' the transfer of Mbappe to United since January - and informed the player himself as such.
However, the report claims that Les Parisiens would only sanction the deal if the 24-year-old agreed to move to Old Trafford this summer - although adds he found the proposal 'interesting' without committing to a decision on his future. This was prior to the choice made over the optional extension in his contract.

Furthermore, the deal is also said to have hinged upon whether Qatari businessman Sheikh Jassim's Nine Two Foundation completes a successful takeover of United.
Neither Sheikh Jassim, nor his rival Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have been informed over whether they have been chosen by the Glazer family to become the new owner of the Manchester club.
Although there were reports on Monday evening that a sale of 100 per cent of the club to the Nine Two Foundation had been completed - causing a surge in United's share price - The Athletic have revealed that the initial report came from a Twitter account with under 300 followers, and that neither party has been informed of the Glazers' final decision at this stage.
