Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones could be sold as manager Erik ten Hag looks to raise January transfer funds.
United have reportedly put four players up for sale in a bid to raise funds for the January transfer window.
The Old Trafford club are said to have a limited budget this winter. Indeed the Glazer’s attempts to sell the club, along with the last summer’s £227million spending had meant there is less money this window.

In turn, the club are planning on generating funds by offloading some unwanted players.
Phil Jones to leave United?
In 2013 Sir Alex Ferguson famously claimed Jones could become United’s “best-ever player”.
However, the last decade has seen the 30-year-old hampered by injuries, while the centre-back has struggled for first-team opportunities in recent years.
Nevertheless, in his 11-and-a-half years at Old Trafford Jones has still made some 229 appearances for the club.

The Athletic claim that Jones has been made available for a transfer this month, though his injury difficulties may hinder his chances of moving from the Premier League giants.
United to make Williams, Tuanzebe and Wan-Bissaka.
Elsewhere, fellow centre-back Axel Tuanzebe may also be sold this window, having been sidelined since July with an injury sustained in pre-season.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka could also be sold in January, having seen his stature decline at Old Trafford over the past year.

The 25-year-old was signed from Crystal Palace back in 2019 but lost his place to Portugal international Diogo Dalot at the end of last season.
Despite putting in two impressive performances together back to back last month, the full-back is likely to leave, with a number of clubs having expressed an interest.
Meanwhile, Brandon Williams, who featured in United’s 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Burnley in December, may also depart in search of regular football.
