Manchester United have cleared out a number of players as the new era under Erik ten Hag begins, and it looks like there could be even more outgoings to come.
Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata have all left United after their respective contracts expired, and now more could be following them out the exit door at Old Trafford.
According to Manchester Evening News’ Chief Manchester United writer Samuel Luckhurst, the club are open to selling as many as eight first team players this summer.

The eight players in question are: Aaron Wan Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Alex Telles, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial.
All mentioned players were signed with high expectations that they would set the world alight, but their careers as a United player haven’t worked out. And it seems that they have been deemed as surplus to requirements by new boss Ten Hag.
Frenchman Martial has arguably been the most disappointing signing of the lot as he failed to impress the United faithful since making a £36 million move from Monaco back in 2015. Martial spent the second part of the 21/22 campaign on loan at La Liga side Sevilla, where he managed only one goal in 12 outings.

Ten Hag is eager to build a squad that will be able to cope with his demanding passing style of play, and he has wasted no time in shifting out players in order to raise funds to bring in his own signings.
United are said to be aiming to bring in five new players this month.
Feyenoord left back Tyrell Malacia looks set to be Ten Hag’s first signing as United boss, the defender is in Manchester to undergo his medical after a deal was agreed.

A fee has also been reportedly agreed with Barcelona for Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, Ten Hag sees the midfielder as the focal point of his plans at Old Trafford.
Ajax duo Lisandro Martinez and Antony are also firmly on United’s radar, a bid has been submitted for Martinez whilst a deal for Antony is currently being discussed.
According to The Athletic, free agent Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join United and is willing to accept a three year contract at Old Trafford.

After the departure of Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest, the Red Devils will likely bring in a back up goalkeeper to provide cover for David De Gea.
The club hope to complete a few signings before they fly out on their pre season tour of Thailand and Australia on Friday.
Time is ticking and the new season is fast approaching, United have to pick up the pace in order to provide a squad Ten Hag needs to move the club back up the league table.
