Manchester United wonderkid Amad Diallo sent a message to Sunderland after his loan spell at the club came to an end on Tuesday evening.
The Black Cats lost 3-2 on aggregate to Luton in the Championship play-off semi-final, having entered the second leg 2-1 up on aggregate.
But goals from defensive duo Gabriel Osho and Tom Lockyer handed Rob Edwards' side the victory and a place in the final at Wembley.

For Sunderland, it ends what has been a remarkable season, with manager Tony Mowbray taking over from Alex Neil in August following the Scot's departure for Stoke.
With a young squad, the experienced Mowbray guided Sunderland to a sixth-place finish, which was dramatically confirmed on the final day of the season via a 3-0 win at Preston North End.
One of the key reasons behind their success was Amad, who scored 13 goals in 39 Championship appearances during the regular season. He also netted in the 2-1 win over Luton in the semi-final first leg. With star striker Ross Stewart out injured for much of the season, the winger's goals were vital.

Mowbray tipped the Ivorian to be given an opportunity by United boss Erik ten Hag next season - and it has been a successful stint in the North East for the 20-year-old.
Now, Amad has sent a message to Sunderland upon the end of the club's campaign.
Amad sends emotional message to Sunderland
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "I know you are all sad, we all are. A group of young guys who fought until the last minute, I can only be proud to have been part of this team.

"No regrets, just proud of what each of us has become over the course of the season. Thank you for the love. Ha'way the lads.
"I have loved every moment here in Sunderland. I wish you well and will support you for the rest of my life."
Amad is not the only United youngster who will come back to Old Trafford after a successful loan spell at a Championship side.
Left-back Alvaro Fernandez recently completed a season-long temporary stint at PNE, winning the club's young player of the year award.

He told the club's official website: "It's been very good. It was a great season for me with great people around me. I enjoyed it a lot and I improved a lot. I just want to say thank you for everything, for everyone. All the best, always."
