Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has turned down an initial offer of a new contract from Manchester United.
De Gea, who joined the Red Devils in June 2011, has been one of the standout names for Erik ten Hag's side this season, but his long-term future may be in jeopardy, after reports suggest that the Spaniard has turned down club's first offer of a new contract.
As reported by The Athletic's Laurie Whitwell, De Gea - who's current contract expires in June - has turned down Manchester United's first offer of a new contract, with the 32-year-old deeming the club's first offer as unsatisfactory.

There won't be too many concerns from those inside Old Trafford, with The Athletic adding that negotiations are still expected to reach a positive conclusion.
It is understood that Manchester United manager Ten Hag would like United's number one to remain at the club, having given his blessing for De Gea to remain at the club.
Who could replace David De Gea?
The goalkeeping situation at Old Trafford has been complicated this season, with backup stopper Dean Henderson exiting the club on loan last summer, joining Nottingham Forest in the search for more first team minutes.

The Englishman's long-term future at United looks bleak, after the 26-year-old slammed the club regarding "false promises" in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT last August.
Henderson has impressed during his time at Nottingham Forest, and has recently been linked with a move to top-six rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
United brought in Newcastle's Martin Dubravka to replace the Englishman, however despite being a mainstay in the side during their run to the Carabao Cup final, Dubravka was recalled by the Magpies as they suffered a goalkeeping crisis of their own.
Former England international Jack Butland joined the club as a result, as he joined former Burnley favourite Tom Heaton as a backup option to De Gea.
