David de Gea has been offered to a new club over a year on from his Manchester United departure, according to a new report.
The Spaniard left Manchester United on July 1 last year following the expiry of his contract, with his exit confirmed by the club several days later.
The 33-year-old then surprisingly did not find a club throughout the remainder of the summer transfer window. And despite his free agency effectively allowing him to sign for a new club at any point, he remains unattached.

Despite this, the rumour mill has not slowed down. De Gea was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, though those links were quickly discarded.
The Sun claimed in October that United were in talks over bringing him back to the club to cover for Andre Onana's Africa Cup of Nations absence. But that came to nothing, and Onana only ended up missing a single game in any case.
And in April, Real Betis expressed an interest in signing the goalkeeper.

Now, a new link has emerged - but not to a club you might expect.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, De Gea has been offered to Serie A club Genoa this summer, with the Spaniard having given the 'green light' to negotiations.
It is claimed, however, that the Italian side have yet to decide whether to enter talks with De Gea or look at other options.

Genoa, who finished 11th in Serie A last season under the management of former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino, recently sold their first-choice goalkeeper Josep Martinez to Inter Milan for €15 million.
That means that they are actively searching for a new shot-stopper, and De Gea, of course, would not cost a penny in terms of a transfer fee.
The 33-year-old has kept himself busy throughout his free agency, regularly posting intense training videos to Instagram as he tries to catch the eye of top clubs.
A return to action for De Gea has not yet been forthcoming - but he might be getting a step closer to finding a new club.
