Bayern Munich are looking to sign Rasmus Hojlund despite the forward’s desire to join Manchester United, it has been claimed.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions have identified Hojlund as an alternative to several more expensive summer targets.
Both Bayern and United have been linked to the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane in recent months.

However, the Bavarian giants reportedly believe that Hojlund would be a more affordable option, with a resale value and the potential to develop.
United have also identified the 20-year-old as a summer target and would like to sign the Atalanta forward alongside a more experienced No.9.
However, as per the Metro, Atalanta have set a £60million asking price for Hojlund, which is £20million more than United are willing to pay for the Dane.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Hojlund, a boyhood United fan, is “really keen” on a move to Old Trafford.
Earlier this month Romano told the United Stand: "Manchester United are, we can say, informed on the conditions of the deal.
"What happened recently, in the last 10 days, is that they had some conversations with people close to Rasmus Hojlund to be informed on the conditions of the deal, how much it would take to sign the player in the summer.
"They know that Atalanta hope to keep the player. But from what I understand, the player would be really keen on a move to Manchester United.

"We know he is a Manchester United fan - he was a Manchester United fan as a kid. Also, he has this dream to play in the Premier League, so I think he would be keen on a move. United are informed on that."
Hojlund netted nine goals in 32 appearances in his first season of Serie A football, while his play style has been compared to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
