Erik ten Hag has been advised to explore a deal for three alternatives to Harry Kane.
Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for Kane, who has scored 26 goals this term.
Yet while the England captain will be entering the final 12 months of his deal in July, it has been widely reported that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would rather keep the 29-year-old beyond the summer window than sell to a rival.

United have been pursuing a new attacker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in November, with the five-time Balon d’Or winner’s short-term replacement Wout Weghorst unlikely to be at Old Trafford beyond the season.
However, questions remain over United’s summer budget, with uncertainty surrounding the Glazer family’s protracted sale of the club.
Should United fail in their pursuit of Kane, Ten Hag has been advised of three alternatives that could have an impact in Manchester.
Saha on Man Utd striker hunt
Former United forward Louis Saha told DAZN of three alternatives the Old Trafford club could pursue, should a deal for Kane fall through.

The Frenchman said: “There are not many alternatives to Kane for Man Utd.
"Victor Osimhen is an obvious one at the moment, though, he’s scoring a lot of goals for Napoli. Very fit, very strong and agile. But it may take him more time to adapt.
“There is a young boy in Hojlund at Atalanta. But no one offers the guarantees like Kane does.”
Indeed, Osimhen is the leading scorer in Serie A this term, having helped Napoli win their first league title in 33 years.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old talent Rasmus Hojlund is considered an enormous prospect, having scored five goals in two Euro 2024 qualifiers for Denmark in March.
Saha added: "I think Randal [Kolo] Muani would be a very good signing for Man Utd. Not only as a number 9, he can play either side of a three. He’s a very clever player, very quick, sharp with his feet and very intelligent.
“He’s already established a good link with Kylian Mbappe for France. He’s aware of everything, he has the talent to go short or long, he’s very clever and he will be a real danger in the Premier League if he comes, especially with [Marcus] Rashford and [Jadon] Sancho."
