Manchester United fans are still fuming over the moment they believe has given Newcastle an unfair advantage ahead of the Carabao Cup final.
Although United’s place in the final is not confirmed, they are in pole position to take on Newcastle at Wembley at the end of the month.
In the first leg of their semi-final tie against Nottingham Forest, United came out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford, Wout Weghorst and Bruno Fernandes.

Newcastle meanwhile sealed their place in the showpiece final after winning 2-1 against Southampton on Tuesday night, recording an aggregate victory of 3-1.
Ahead of a potential meeting with Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final, United fans are still angry over a decision made by the referee in their Europa League clash against Real Sociedad.
Lisandro Martinez was penalised for handball inside the penalty area but replays showed that the ball had hit the defender’s leg first.

The penalty was eventually dispatched by Brais Mendez, which sealed a 1-0 win.
United ended up finishing second after only beating Sociedad 1-0 when they needed to win by two goals to seal top spot.
As a result of finishing second, United are now involved in a knockout play-off tie against Barcelona. This means that they have seven games before the Carabao Cup final, whilst Newcastle only have three.
United fans believe that is a real advantage for the St.James Park club.

Replying to a tweet stating the number of matches for each side before the final, one United fan said: “All because the referee decided to wrongfully award Real Sociedad with a penalty for this…”
Another added: “We also play the second leg against Barcelona 3 days before the final, while Newcastle have an 8-day preparation for it.”
The Carabao Cup final will take place at Wembley on 26 February.
