Manchester United could be prevented from signing Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe due to a bizarre ruling by UEFA.
Over the last few months, the process of United’s sale has been the talk of the town.
The Glazer Family first put the club on the market back in November of 2022 and the process is taking much longer than anticipated.

To date, it has been widely reported that British billionaire and INEOS boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe is going head-to-head with Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.
This week, there were reports that Sheikh Jassim is set to win the race to buy United.
However, this could mean that the Old Trafford club could be banned from signing Mbappe or any other PSG players.

In order to prevent this from happening, United will have to provide evidence that they are independent from PSG’s Qatari owners.
This is due to the fact UEFA have banned transfer dealings between AC Milan and Toulouse.
According to French news outlet Get Football News France, UEFA are concerned that the two clubs are unable to act independently because they share the same owners in the shape of RedBird Capital Partners.
It has since been claimed that French club Toulouse have made changes to their board in order to prove that RedBird Capitals Partners have no say in the running of the club.

However, UEFA are said to be unconvinced by the evidence and have banned the two clubs from selling and loaning players to each other. But both Milan and Toulouse will be able to participate in UEFA competitions next season.
A statement from UEFA states: “The clubs will not transfer players to each other, whether permanently or on loan, directly or indirectly, until September 2024.”
“The clubs will not enter into any kind of cooperation, joint technical or commercial agreements and the clubs will not use any joint scouting or player database.”
