PSV Eindhoven are interested in signing Liverpool full-back Neco Williams, who has been told he can leave Anfield this summer.
Williams spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham as the Cottagers won the Championship title and gained promotion back to the Premier League.
Despite the Welshman impressing on his stint in West London, Jurgen Klopp has added right-back Calvin Ramsay to the Liverpool squad to provide cover and competition to first choice Trent Alexander-Arnold.

This move essentially renders Williams surplus to requirements and he has thus been told he can depart the North West in this window.
Fulham are said to be keen on acquiring the 21-year-old on a permanent deal, while another newly promoted side, Nottingham Forest, have also expressed interest and have made a second bid worth £16 million for the defender.

However, according to The Daily Mail, Dutch side PSV are now set to launch an offer for Williams.
After initially demanding somewhere in the region of £20 million for the player, the Reds may now use this increased interest to spark a bidding war between the eager parties.
Despite Forest supposedly being the frontrunners, PSV, Fulham and Southampton are also said to be maintaining their interest.
According to a report from This is Anfield, Williams was not present at Melwood for the beginning of Liverpool’s pre-season training this week, amidst rumours that he’s on his way out.

The 20-time capped Wales international is set to be included in Rob Page’s squad for this winter’s World Cup in Qatar, but he’ll be keen to play minutes leading up to the tournament to cement his place in the starting 11.
Williams has made just 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool since his debut in June 2020.
He made 14 Championship appearances for Fulham last season.

After signing Ramsay, Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho already this summer, Klopp has turned his attention to the club’s outgoing business.
The likes of Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi have already been offloaded, but there are reportedly a handful of other players the Merseyside club want to either loan or let go of permanently, including Williams.
