Journalist Fabrizio Romano has given his verdict on whether Liverpool will sign midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan this summer.
The Reds are in need of bodies in the middle of the park, with injuries to Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago, alongside questions over Naby Keita’s availability.
Jürgen Klopp addressed the issue in his press conference after Liverpool’s draw with Fulham, suggesting a transfer has to "make sense now and in the long term".

"Nobody could imagine that Curtis gets the thing he gets; it is nothing serious but he is a young boy and it is a kind of stress reaction. Bodies are like this.
"Naby is only ill and he will now be back definitely next week again. Oxlade happened early and now with Thiago that is, of course, not good and we will see.
"Look, a transfer must make sense now and in the long term; we have midfielders, we have still enough midfielders. It is not that we lack midfielders, but it's just some of them are injured.
"This is not a good situation, I don't like it at all, but we have to see how we react on that - but for sure not panicking."

The Reds have subsequently been linked to many a midfielder, but Marcelo Brozovic - according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano - is an untouchable asset for Inter Milan.
“Still, despite some speculation elsewhere, Marcelo Brozovic is untouchable for Inter Milan. The Croatian midfielder extended his contract a few months ago and will not leave,” said Romano, speaking on CaughtOffside.

The Croatian international has been solid for the Serie A runners-up since joining from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015.
He’s made 290 appearances across those seven years and as mentioned, recently signed a deal to keep him in Italy for the foreseeable future.
A move to Liverpool may be off the cards in Brozovic’s case, but the Reds will need to look to bring in a midfielder to cover for their injury woes.
