Liverpool are in talks with Ajax to sign winger Antony, who is also the subject of interest for Manchester United.
Antony Matheus dos Santos, simply known as Antony, enjoyed a fruitful 2021/22 campaign with Ajax.
He scored 12 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions as the Dutch giants won the Eredivisie.

This form has sparked interest from a host of clubs throughout Europe, including United, with former Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag keen to reunite with the Brazilian.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are also keen on the 22-year-old winger, despite having already signed Darwin Núñez from Benfica this summer in a deal worth £85 million.
It’s understood that Ajax are demanding a fee in the region of £69 million for Antony, following his impressive displays under Ten Hag over the last two seasons.
Manchester United are currently unwilling to meet this valuation.

According to Brazilian outlet Yahoo Esportes, Liverpool have been in talks with both Ajax and the Antony’s agent over a potential switch this summer.
The report suggests that Liverpool’s interest is ‘strong’ and that a bid of £59 million could be sufficient enough for Ajax to accept.
Earlier this month, United denied reports that hinted of a £51 million offer for Antony, dubbing the speculation as ‘nonsense’.
It’s believed that the wide forward would be keen on working under his former boss Ten Hag once again.

However, with Ajax having already sold Sebastian Haller to Borussia Dortmund, Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich and being close to selling Lisandro Martinez to United, they are under little pressure to sell any further assets.
This strong financial position the Dutch side have managed to create for themselves makes any deal with the Merseysiders or the Red Devils very difficult in this market.
Liverpool have already brought in Núñez, Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho in this window.
Reports from reputable sources suggest that they are actually done with their incoming business.
