Fans have been praising Ibrahima Konate’s response to being asked about Liverpool’s squad for next season.
The 22/23 season was one to forget for Liverpool as they failed to produce the football we have been accustomed to over the last few years.
Jurgen Klopp’s men finished in a disappointing fifth place and as a result, will not be in the Champions League next season.

Ahead of what is bound to be a crucial summer transfer window, fans have praised Konate after he was asked about the Liverpool squad.
As per RMC Sport, the Frenchman said: “I think we have four players leaving this season, Ox, Keita, Milner and Firmino. We are obliged to replace them.
“If we don't replace them, how do we do it? We are understaffed and we lack quality? We can't play with young people at this level.”

Fans were quick to react on social media.
One said: “Finally. A player in the squad that calls it out.”
Another tweeted: “Big Virg said it. Mo said it. Allison said it. Now, Ibou. We can tell for a fact that these players know and can see they need quality players to improve the team and compete at the top.”
A third fan added: “More ambition that certain others.”

Someone else wrote: “Players speaking up a bit more over this past season. Good to see imo, we can't let them down.”
Whilst a fifth commented: “We need more players that talk like this, don't be afraid to say the truth!”
So far, Liverpool have completed the signing of Argentina’s World Cup-winning midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Reds have since been linked with more midfielders, with the likes of Romeo Lavia, Manu Kone, Gabri Veiga and Khephren Thuram all mentioned.
Reflecting on Liverpool's tough season, Konate said: “We have a rather complicated start to the season. After, as we have seen over the last two months, we have some pressure, we have really remobilised.
“It's us, it's the players: at some point, we screwed up on this season.”
