Jude Bellingham has established himself as one of Europe’s finest up and coming midfielders in recent years and a move back to England could be on the cards for the talented young player. He has been consistently linked with a move to Liverpool during his time with Dortmund, and now the Reds know how much they’d have to pay to acquire Bellingham’s services.
Borussia Dortmund have slapped an £80 million price tag on Jude Bellingham. The Bundesliga giants signed the youngster from Birmingham City for an initial fee of £25 million 2 years ago, and The Athletic report Dortmund would like to turn quite the profit on the England international.
One suspects Liverpool could be willing to pay the sort of money Dortmund want for the Englishman. Aurelien Tchouameni now looks set to move to Real Madrid this summer, but Liverpool were open to paying big for him before Real moved for the Frenchman. The Reds have also been linked with Nicolo Barella, one of the most expensive properties on the Italian transfer market.

Furthermore, Liverpool shouldn’t be too short of money this summer. Jürgen Klopp’s side look set to cash in on the likes of Sadio Mané and Naby Keita which could bring more than £60 million worth of capital to the Merseyside club.
It is likely these resources will be directed towards signing a new midfielder for the reds. Klopp’s current options in the engine room are ageing, with James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and Thiago Alcantara having put their prime years behind them. Bellingham could rejuvenate what is becoming something of a tired Liverpool midfield.
However, even though Dortmund have set their price for Bellingham this summer, whether Liverpool will be successful in their pursuit depends on how open the German club are to selling one of their star men. Erling Haaland’s move to Manchester City has been all but confirmed and thus Dortmund may be unwilling to part ways with two of their most important players in one transfer window.
