Luis Suarez is now a free agent after his contract with Atletico Madrid ran out this summer and after holding positive talks with his former club Nacional, he is weighing up an emotional return to his home country.
Suarez’s senior career started in Uruguay, where he played 27 times for the Nacional first team, after a number of years in the youth side.
Before being snatched up by the Eredivisie side Groningen, he netted 12 goals for the Uruguayan club.

And it is reported that he is considering making a return to the team where his journey into the footballing world began.
According to the Mirror, Jose Fuentes, Nacional Club President, was in Spain earlier this week to work on negotiating a deal for the legendary striker.
This is a move that will guarantee Suarez first team football which is a necessity for all top players ahead of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Suarez left Atletico this summer after two years in Madrid and during his time there he scored the title-sealing goal for the club in his 21 goal season during the 2020/2021 campaign.
