Liverpool’s incoming transfer business may have reached its conclusion, but Noel Whelan believes the Reds will be notably active in next year’s summer transfer window.
The former professional footballer has claimed that Klopp's side will make a move for Jude Bellingham next summer.
The Borussia Dortmund starlet, who has also been linked to Chelsea, has made 61 appearances for the German side, scoring 4 goals.

Dortmund themselves aren’t desperate to sell the 19-year-old having already sold his good friend Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
But this may not be the case in future transfer windows.
Speaking to BBC, Noel Whelan revealed his own belief that Bellingham is Liverpool’s “number one target” who “they’ll be moving for” next summer.
Whelan continued that he believes this is a wise decision. He asserts that Liverpool don’t need “to force a transfer through for the sake of it.”

Whelan points to the quality in depth Liverpool already have in their engine room provided by likes of Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, and James Milner.
However, if one of the Reds’ more senior players was to become unavailable for an extended period next season, that’d really throw a spanner in the works.
Liverpool don’t really have like for like replacements for Fabinho or Thiago Alcantara, and could be wise to dip into the market to bring in a stop-gap solution in that regard.
The Reds have been tentatively linked with Matheus Nunes of Sporting Lisbon, and rated at £33 million, it’d be a move which would make a lot of sense for Liverpool to make.

Waiting for Bellingham is the correct decision. Throwing the sort of money Liverpool would have to pay for him next year at a lower calibre midfielder this summer would be foolish.
But that shouldn’t mean they disregard the prospect of signing a slightly lower quality midfielder, who’d come in at a much cheaper price, to ease concerns over Liverpool’s engine room problems.
