Liverpool target Jude Bellingham could follow in the footsteps of Erling Haaland and stay an extra year at Borussia Dortmund.
Bellingham is one of the hottest prospects in world football right now, and is the subject of interest from a whole host of clubs, including Liverpool.

Erling Haaland made a similar decision whilst he was with Dortmund. Despite amassing interest from Europe's elite clubs, the Norwegian chose to stay an extra season before joining Manchester City for a cheaper fee last summer.
If Bellingham signed a new short term deal with Dortmund, it could also come with the possibility of being allowed to leave the following season for a cheaper fee.

But despite having cemented a place in the starting 11, Bellingham is reportedly keen to not to do anything that could jeopardise his position - believing a move abroad could rock the boat.
The European Championships are scheduled for the end of next season and they will be hosted in Germany. The competition's location may be a small factor that could tempt Bellingham to stay with Dortmund for another year.
Assurances of top level first team football and playing in the Champions League are thought to be key to his decision making, to ensure he is a part of England's Euro 2024 plans.
