It has been well documented that Liverpool will look to strengthen their midfield in the summer, but with their apparent top target Jude Bellingham proving too expensive, who else could they target?
With the likes of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Naby Keita, James Milner and Arthur Melo edging closer to the exit doors, Jurgen Klopp will be drawing up his shopping list.
Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham has been widely linked with a move to Anfield, but recent reports have claimed that the price could prove too big for Liverpool.

Chelsea’s Mason Mount has also been linked with a move to Merseyside.
According to The Athletic, there are eight other midfielders with a similar profile to Bellingham that Liverpool could target as an alternative.
They have taken Bellingham’s profile and compared it to players under 23 who have played more than 900 minutes this season.

Spanish duo Pedri and Gavi are amongst the best midfielders in world football. Although Pedri would cost huge money, Gavi’s current situation at Barcelona could see him leave the club for free in the summer.
Next on the list is Newcastle’s Joe Willock, who has impressed since moving to St.James’ Park from Arsenal.
Willock’s style has been compared to former Liverpool man Georginio Wijnaldum.
Lyon’s Maxence Caqueret could prove to be a good signing as since breaking through the ranks, he has developed into a brilliant all-round player.

However, Caqueret’s goal statistics are a concern as he has only scored one goal in his professional career.
The next midfielder to keep an eye on is Enzo Le Fee of Lorient.
Leicester man Kiernan Dewsbury Hall has also been linked with a similar profile. He has been impressive in a Leicester side that have been struggling.

Dewsbury Hall has the tendency to move out wide, which the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner have done in the past.
Next up is Matheus Nunes of Wolves, who processes great ball-carrying skills that could be vital in Klopp’s new-look midfield. Nunes made it on the list despite only playing 626 minutes, but the Portuguese has been heavily linked with Liverpool already.
The last name on the list is Yunus Musah, who plays for Valencia. Musah’s pace and athleticism make him a brilliant option for a box-to-box midfielder.
