Liverpool have been urged to sign Joelinton from Newcastle United before deadline day to solve the club's midfield crisis.
Jurgen Klopp is thought to be in the market for a new midfielder should the right player come up amid Liverpool's midfield shortage.
Star man Thiago as well as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones are all sidelined through injury.

The likes of Sander Berge and Nicolo Barella to name but a few have been linked with a summer move to Anfield.
But Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann believes the club should go after Joelinton, who has resurrected his Newcastle career in midfield.

The 26-year-old was snapped up by the Magpies as a forward, but Eddie Howe has converted him into a midfielder - with the player starring in the middle of the park.
His recent performance against Manchester City alerted Hamann, who has seen enough and reckons Liverpool could do with someone like the Brazilian.
"I watched Newcastle United versus Manchester City last week and looking at that I think they need a midfielder with presence," he told GGRecon.
"You look at Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Thiago, they're all similar, tidy players.

"I think they could do with someone like Joelinton from Newcastle. I think he's someone who's technically gifted, who's a big lad, and has a great strike on him. I think that's the type of player they miss.
"Whether you can get him now with a few days of the transfer window left to go, I'm not too sure. If there's one area where they could do with a player, it's in midfield."
The Reds started with Harvey Elliott, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson in midfield in their 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth last weekend.
