Jurgen Klopp has already explained why Liverpool should sign Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton.
To date, Liverpool are the only Premier League club yet to bring in any new players this summer.
Despite the lack of transfers, the Reds began their 24/25 campaign with a 2-0 win against newly promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
After the match, it was revealed that odds have slashed on Everton defender Branthwaite making what would be a shock move to Anfield.

As of Monday(August 19), the 22-year-old was priced at 5/4 by Sky Bet to move to Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer window.
The likes of Manchester City(4/1), Manchester United(4/1) and Real Madrid(12/1) have also been tipped to go for the Englishman. Odds were correct at the time of writing.
Back in October 2023, then Liverpool boss Klopp was full of praise for Branthwaite.
He said: “[Everton's] last line [is] super-experienced, and with Branthwaite now a really good left-footed centre-half.”

When speaking about his reluctant to bring on youngster Jayden Danns, Klopp again mentioned Branthwaite.
The German added: “[That wasn't] a game for an 18-year-old boy, and Tarkowski and Branthwaite kill you in these situations and it doesn’t help.”
Earlier in the summer, the defender had been constantly linked with United, who reportedly had two bids for the 22-year-old rejected.

During Liverpool’s win against Ipswich, manager Arne Slot made a half-time substitution to bring on Ibrahima Konate for Jarell Quansah.
Speaking after the match, the Dutchman said: “The first thing I said was we don't have to speak about tactics if you lose so many duels, and that's what we did.
“It's not that Jarell lost every duel, many of us lost too many duels, so we needed Konate to win these long balls in the air towards their No.9 (Liam Delap), so that helped and gave us control.
“But they put so, so much energy into the first half, running, fighting, playing all over the pitch one v one, and I don't think they could keep up with that tempo in the second half.”
