The transfer window is now open and Liverpool have wasted absolutely no time in conducting their first piece of business.
Cody Gakpo has now officially joined the Merseyside club from PSV Eindhoven after a deal was agreed between two teams earlier this week.
Gakpo, 23, has signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with Liverpool, who are believed to have paid an initial £37m fee for the Netherlands international.

Liverpool supporters will be hoping he isn't the only new arrival this month, while there may also be some departures from the club before the transfer window closes.
Here we take a look at what could happen at Anfield in the next month.
Who could Liverpool sign in January?
As previously mentioned, Liverpool have already signed Gakpo but are also in the market for midfield reinforcements.

England international Jude Bellingham remains the club's top transfer target but is expected to remain with Borussia Dortmund until at least the summer.
As a result, Liverpool have been linked with a number of other players, including Benfica's Enzo Fernandez, Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat and Brighton's Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea are thought to be favourites to sign Fernandez, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claiming the World Cup winner is keen to move to Stamford Bridge.
Amrabat represents a potentially cheaper option than Fernandez but Tottenham are believed to be in pole position to sign the Morocco international.

Meanwhile, there have been conflicting reports over Liverpool's interest in Caicedo.
Ecuadorian outlet Teradeportes claim Liverpool have already had a bid rejected for the 21-year-old, with Brighton reportedly holding out for £62m. However, The Times journalist Paul Joyce says no bid has been made.
Liverpool have also been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram and Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko, who are both out of contract at the end of the season and as such are able to negotiate a pre-contract with foreign clubs this month.
But given Liverpool's current depth in attack following the signing of Gakpo, it is unlikely either player will join the Reds.
Who could leave Anfield this month?
Several players are out of contract at the end of the season and the club could look to sell them in January, rather than losing them on a free transfer in the summer.

Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both out of contract at it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will offer them new deals this month.
Adrian's deal is also due to expire and he could be moved on, with Caoimhin Kelleher now firmly the second-choice goalkeeper at Anfield behind Alisson.
Roberto Firmino is also out of contract in June but Klopp will be reluctant to sell the Brazilian, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz still sidelined through injury.
Nat Phillips is now the fifth-choice centre-back and could be sold or sent out on loan.

Meanwhile, a number of young talents – including Ben Doak and Bobby Clark – could also be loaned out in January to gain more first-team experience.
What has Jurgen Klopp said?
Speaking before the announcement of Gakpo's move to Liverpool, Klopp said he was "not against investment" in his squad.
"We will see what the future brings, nobody knows at the moment. I'm still convinced the future will be good," said Klopp.
"We have to solve the present and that's what we are working on.
"January in our situation is a window from a sports side we are always prepared, it's always clear what kind of ideas we have or how the necessity is from our point of view.
"All the rest doesn't lie 100 per cent in our hands and we always work with what we've got, and that will not change."
