Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe are set to be the two main protagonists of the World Cup final on Sunday, and there's already 'issues' between the pair.
Whilst they will no doubt say it's not all about them, there is plenty of narrative around both Messi and Mbappe heading into the final.
Of course, much of it is to do with whether or not the Argentina star can finally win the World Cup, which is the only major trophy that has eluded him so far.

Even a former France international has said he wants to see the Paris Saint-Germain forward beat his younger club mate to the trophy.
Mbappe is looking to become a two time world champion, having scored twice in the final four years ago, and would no doubt love to get one over on the strike partner.
He's already had to get past one PSG teammate, having shared the final with Morocco full back Achraf Hakimi, with the pair changing shirts at full time.

The pair are good friends, with Mbappe even getting a little too excited to chat with Hakimi once the semi-final had finished, semi being very apt.
However, those scenes aren't expected to be replicated on Sunday, with reports of 'issues' between the France and Argentina forwards.
According to Spanish outlet El Pais, their relationship never gets past 'strictly professional limits,' whilst Mbappe's relationship with Neymar, who is friends with Messi, is 'strained.'

It's not the first time that the 'issues' have been reported on in Spain, with Marca also claiming they have problems back in October.
According to the Madrid based outlet, Mbappe feels his teammate has too much 'power' in the dressing room, and has ended up with a situation to the one he had a Barcelona.
That might come as a laugh to some, with previous reports that Mbappe's contract at PSG, signed last summer as they managed to keep him away from the clutches of Real Madrid, gave the former Monaco man too much power.
The 23-year-old is said to have wanted to get rid of the 'Argentine Republic' at the Parc des Princes last summer, which he managed to do mainly.

Mauro Icardi and Leandro Paredes both left, so did manager Mauricio Pochettino, and did Keylor Navas and Ander Herrera, who were said to be Messi's allies despite not being from Argentina, were also let go.
It's also been reported that Mbappe wanted Neymar to be sold, and was one of the things he was promised would happen when he signed his new deal, although the Brazilian stayed and has been excellent this season.
Things have not been great in the French capital between the three, before the break for the World Cup, and earlier in the campaign there was a lack of assists from Mbappe for his teammates.

The Frenchman is said to already want to leave the club, despite the fact he only signed a new deal in the summer to stay put, when he could have left for nothing.
That deal is only due to run until summer 2024, so they could choose to cash in on him before that.
