Jose Mourinho planning huge first signing from Real Madrid to kick-start Fenerbahce era

Jose Mourinho planning huge first signing from Real Madrid to kick-start Fenerbahce era

Jose Mourinho is hoping his former club Real Madrid will loan him a player at new club Fenerbahce.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly contacted former club Real Madrid as he bids to pull off a huge first signing with Fenerbahce.

The Portuguese manager is back in management, taking the reins at the Turkish giants for his 11th coaching job.

He has penned a two-year deal with Fenerbahce and will earn £10.2 million per year in Istanbul.

His deal is also believed to be included a clause which allows him to leave for the Portugal national team should the post become available.

Mourinho has already ruled out moves for both Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, who he managed at Roma before he was given the boot.

However Mourinho is said to be keen on bringing Arda Guler back to Fenerbahce on loan.

According to Diario AS, via @theMadridZone, Mourinho has asked Real for Guler to head back to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Guler moved to Fenerbahce in 2021 and established himself as one of the most exciting talents in world football.

He joined Real in a €20 million switch in July 2023, signing a six-year contract with Los Blancos.

The 19-year-old's game-time was severely restricted in his debut season due to injuries.

He only played 10 times in La Liga but still managed to find the net six times in just 330 minutes of action.

And with the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick set to limit his opportunities further, Mourinho could be about swoop in.

Following his official unveiling, the 61-year-old has joked about Guler returning to Fener.

As per MSN, he said: "If Arda Guler wants to come, why not? If he loves Fenerbahce, if he comes for free and if Real Madrid pay 75 per cent of his salary, we cannot say no."

They could face competition for his signature, however, as it's been reported that Getafe want him as a replacement for Mason Greenwood.

But Guler may well remain in the Spanish capital as Real feel he would benefit most from being with the first-team next season.
