Kylian Mbappe appeared to mimic Emiliano Martinez's controversial World Cup gesture in a surprise move given the Argentina's constant trolling.
Mbappe hit a hat-trick for France in the World Cup final, which Argentina won on penalties thanks in part to the heroics of spot-kick specialist Martinez.
The Aston Villa goalkeeper proceeded to mock Mbappe by asking for a "moment of silence" for him in the changing rooms.

He then went a step further by holding a baby toy with the Paris Saint-Germain superstar's face on during the victory parade in Buenos Aires.
Unhappy with his behaviour, France lodged an official complaint after feeling as though Martinez had overstepped the mark.
Mbappe was actually unfazed by Martinez's actions, however and issued a mature response.

"I talked with him after the match," Mbappe told reporters last month.
"I congratulated him. For him it was a life goal. For me too, but I lost, so I have to be a good sport. Celebrations are not my problem, I don’t waste time on such trivial things."
And Mbappe doesn't seem to have a problem with Martinez as he was filmed performing the very same gesture as him.

After collecting his Golden Glove award, Martinez rather rudely placed it in his crotch area on the podium. Footage has emerged of Mbappe replicating those very same antics at PSG's training headquarters.
Martinez's explanation for the gesture was that he did it in response to boos from the France supporters.
However, he as well as Argentina, were found guilty of violating the FIFA disciplinary code.

A statement from the governing body said Argentina made, "potential breaches of articles 11 (Offensive behaviour and violations of the principles of fair play) and 12 (Misconduct of players and officials) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, as well as of article 44 of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Regulations."
