A reputable journalist has dropped an update on the Jude Bellingham transfer saga, which could greatly impact Liverpool's hopes of signing the player.
The England star is one of the most sought-after midfielders in world football, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid all after his signature.
The teenager has proven why he is the subject of so much interest with his World Cup performances, having dazzled in the Three Lions' midfield.

Indeed, his imperious round-of-16 performance against Senegal in particular helped England through an awkward opening half hour to win 3-0.
A number of Liverpool fans are confident of securing the 19-year-old’s signature, having bore witness to the close relationship between the player and Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold while on England duty.
Reds fans had even more cause for optimism after reports that Bellingham’s entourage, including his father Mark, mother Denise and agent Mark Bennett, were all keen on a move to Liverpool.
However, like all transfer sagas, there has been another twist.
Mark Bennett NOT Bellingham’s agent
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, football agent Bennett is not Bellingham’s agent and is in turn, not involved in negotiations between Liverpool and the youngster, contrary to reports.

The journalist added that Bennett did not talk to Real Madrid on behalf of Bellingham either, as had been reported.
Plettenberg tweeted: “News #Bellingham: Been told from reliable sources that Mark Bennett is certainly NOT his agent! He has nothing to do with any negotiations.
“He didn’t speak to Real Madrid as well. His parents are responsible. #LFC one of the favourites because of #Klopp as revealed.”
Reports that Bellingham’s family would prefer their son to move to Liverpool have been widespread and if true, it could have a tangible influence on the player’s next move.

Bellingham is said to be close with his family. His mother Denise used to take him to watch his father Mark play in the non-league. The Borussia Dortmund star’s dad scored over 700 goals in around 900 appearances at clubs including Stourbridge, Leamington and Sutton Coldfield Town.
