Fans had their say after footage emerged of an incident involving Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice during Arsenal’s 2-1 win (5-1 aggregate) against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday evening.
Rice, 26, starred in the tie’s first leg by scoring two impressive free-kicks, which helped Arsenal take a three-goal advantage to Madrid.
Last night, he put in a solid showing despite being faced with Real Madrid’s midfield trio of Aurélien Tchouaméni, Fede Valverde and Bellingham.

And despite Rice and Bellingham being teammates with the England national team, there were certainly no pleasantries exchanged between the pair at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A series of clips of exchanges between the duo was posted on social media on Thursday, and fans were quick to give their thoughts.

One said: “Bellingham was rattled and pained. He wanted to provoke Rice and I love how the latter handled the situation and ignored him.”
Another added: "Bellingham doing everything he can to get Rice a yellow that would be pointless tonight but rule him out of a potential semi first leg."
While a third commented: "Bellingham trying to bait Rice into a yellow so he’d miss a semi final is peak."
As a fourth explained: "Bellingham trying to mind control Rice into a yellow."
Of course, if Rice received a yellow card he would've been banned for the first leg of the semi-final clash against PSG and he nearly was.

During the first-half, referee Francois Letexier, brandished a yellow card towards Rice after giving a penalty for Real for a foul on Kylian Mbappe.
However, the decision was overturned by Letexier after he was sent to the pitch-side monitor.
Arsenal won 2-1 on the night thanks to second-half strikes from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
"We want to play the best teams, and we want to win this competition," Rice said when speaking to TNT Sports after the match.

"There was a lot of talk coming here about them coming back, because they have done it so many times before. But we had so much belief and confidence from that first leg that we had enough to come here and win the game. We knew we were going to suffer. But we knew we were going to win. We did it in my mind, and then we did it in real life. What a night for the club.”
