Manchester United and Liverpool have entered the race to sign Crystal Palace and England star Marc Guehi, according to a fresh report.
United have been tipped to make defensive additions this summer, with the club likely to be making a Champions League return next season.
Lisandro Martínez and Raphael Varane have formed a stubborn defensive pairing for Erik ten Hag’s side this term, however, their understudies have not garnered the same degree of faith.

Indeed, the error-prone Harry Maguire and ‘wantaway’ Victor Lindelof have both been tipped for summer exits, and a replacement will need to be signed.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have endured a strange, topsy-turvy season that has produced no silverware and a likely failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp will make several changes to his squad in the off-season, with centre-back one of several positions that needs addressing.
And both clubs have been linked to Palace’s Guehi.
Man Utd and Liverpool interested in Guehi
According to the Mail Online, Liverpool are interested in Guehi after the 22-year-old delivered another impressive season at Selhurst Park.

Indeed, his performances have resulted in a long list of admirers with United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur also keen to sign the centre-back.
However, Guehi, who has featured on 39 occasions for the Eagles this term, is rated at £50million - a price that may be beyond Liverpool’s summer budget, given the club have prioritised midfield additions.
Speaking on the three-cap England international, Palace manager Roy Hodgson claimed Guehi has the potential to one day captain the Three Lions.
The 75-year-old said earlier this term(via LondonWorld): “I was England manager for four years and it used to drive me crazy when managers gave their players an extra pat on the back by saying they should play for England.

“It would not surprise me, with the guy’s quality. But let’s just let him play football first and continue being a top, top Premier League player at Crystal Palace. Let’s see how long that lasts. Let's see when his first England matches take place and go on from there.
“I’m sorry Marc, I shouldn’t have given you that little pat on the back which I gave, by suggesting England captaincy!
“His maturity has impressed me. It did when he was (on loan) at Swansea and we were hoping we could sign him. Doug (Freedman) and I were watching him. He’s an intelligent player who thinks a lot about his game.”
