Wrexham are eyeing up a huge summer signing for their first deal of the summer, it has been claimed.
The Welsh outfit are preparing for League One, after secured their second promotion in succession at the end of last term.
It has been s summer of high turnover, with Rob Lainton, Aaron Hayden, Callum McFadzean, Jordan Tunnicliffe and Ben Tozer and Luke Young all being released by the club, alongside youngsters Owen Cushion and Dan Davies.

However, Wrexham’s flagship fan podcast RobRyanRed have reported the club are lining up their first summer arrival.
They are allegedly pushing to sign 27-year-old Wigan centre back Jason Kerr.
While there is allegedly still work to do to agree terms, the player is said to be well liked by Phil Parkinson and his staff.
The Red Dragons are said to face competition from League One rivals Peterborough as well as clubs in Scotland.

Kerr is highly rated, but was restricted to just 14 League One appearances last term due to injury.
Elsewhere, Wrexham are hoping to complete a permanent move for goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, who was on loan from Arsenal for the entirety of their League Two campaign.
The 22-year-old’s contract in North London is set to expire in the summer, with several clubs deemed to be interested in his services.

On his future, Okonkwo told the Athletic: “I haven’t looked too much into things at the moment. But I will, very soon.
“It is about looking at all my opportunities and seeing which is the best for me. I’ve loved it at Wrexham and they will stay in my heart forever.”
Meanwhile Wrexham manager Parkinson declared his wish to keep Okonkwo.
Parkinson said: “Obviously we’re keen to keep Arthur and we’re working on that.

“It could take time but there’s one thing for sure, we’ll give it everything that we’ve got to keep Arthur at the club.”
