A section of Brentford supporters could be heard booing Archie Gray's every touch during their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
Back in June last year, Gray was set to undergo a medical at Brentford after agreeing personal terms to join the west London club from Championship side Leeds United.
It looked as if Thomas Frank's side had won the race to sign the highly-rated teenager for around £35 million.

But in an unexpected twist, the transfer collapsed at the 11th hour and Spurs swooped with a six-year contract offer for the great nephew of former Leeds player Eddie Gray,
“It’s obviously a massive club and an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down,” he said at the time. “I’m just really excited to play and get started with the team."
After turning down a move to Brentford, sections of the Gtech could be heard chanting "you should have signed for a big club" towards Gray during the first-half of Sunday's game.

In fact, some fans aimed boos at the England U21 international every time he touched the ball.
Here's how fans on social media reacted to the scenes.
One said: "Brentford fans booing Archie Gray cause he nearly signed for them: extremely tinpot behaviour," while another commented: "Brentford singing we all hate leeds scum and booing Archie Gray whenever he’s on the ball. Bless them."
A third wrote: "Why are Brentford booing Archie Gray?"

A fourth said: "Archie Gray getting a few boos every time he's on the ball from Brentford fans. Gray was close to signing for the Bees before joining Spurs in the summer," and a fifth added: "Booing Archie Gray because “he nearly signed for them”!? Pathetic."
Gray has impressed in a less than familiar centre-back role for Spurs in recent weeks. Back in September, the 18-year-old said manager Ange Postecoglou was helping him to become "fearless".
"I'm really grateful to have the manager we've got," he said. "I'm a big fan of him. I'm grateful to have him here and to learn so much off him, it's a big opportunity for me."

After Postecoglou praised Gary's versatility, the teenager added: "To hear stuff like that from him, it makes you trust yourself even more and have more confidence to go out there and be fearless.
"That's what he wants from us and hopefully we can go out and do that every game we're trusted to be in."
