The nine highest-paid footballers in Europe have been revealed, with the star-studded list including stars from Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Despite many players in Europe following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and heading to Saudi Arabia for the big bucks, it's fair to say there is still a decent chunk of wealth across Europe.
With Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldo all playing their football outside of Europe there is now a new generation of high earners across the continent.
Here are the current top nine highest earners in a list that includes some surprising names via Transfermarkt:

9- Raphael Varane- €1.72 million per month
Rapha Varane just about sneaks inside the top nine with a staggering monthly salary of over 1.7 million euros, earning more than the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and his captain Bruno Fernandes.
8- Mo Salah- €1.77 million per month
In eighth place comes Liverpool and Egypt legend Mo Salah who is very much deserving of his place on the list with the only surprise being how low down the forward is. However, Salah may have a chance to increase his pay in the coming months, with consistent rumours of a move to join his former teammate Sadio Mane in the Saudi Pro League.

7- Casemiro- € 1.77 million per month
Casemiro is the second and final representative from the red side of Manchester with an identical monthly salary to Salah. The Brazilian's contract at United runs until 2026.
6- Robert Lewandowski- €1.87 million per month
The 35-year-old remains one of the top strikers in world football and has been in fine form for Barcelona this season scoring 13 goals in La Liga and providing 8 assists. His lucrative deal with the Spanish giants runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.

5- David Alaba- €1.88 million per month
Probably the most shocking name on the list is the versatile Real Madrid defender Alaba. The reason behind the Austrian's staggering salary is the fact Madrid managed to secure his services for free resulting in inflated wages for the 31-year-old.
4- Erling Haaland- €1.9 million per month

Just missing out on the podium places is Erling Haaland, whose move from Borussia Dortmund has seen the Norwegian monthly wage sky-rocket to almost two million euros a month.
3- Kevin De Bruyne- €2.02 million per month
The title for the Premier League's highest scorer goes to arguably the most influential player the league has seen in the past decade. City have won five Premier League titles since they signed the Belgian, so it is fair to say he has earnt his place as the division's highest earner.
2- Harry Kane- €2.1 million per month

The England captain has shot up the list since his move to Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga holders having to put their hands in their pockets to tempt Kane away from the Premier League last summer.
1- Kylian Mbappe- €6 million per month
There was absolutely no competition for who was going to take the top spot in this list, with Kylian Mbappe earning the same amount per month as the other members of the top four combined. Mbappe commands one of the most lucrative contracts in sports history at PSG, but the French international is reported to be taking a pay cut in the summer to sign for Real Madrid.
