Getafe manager Jose Bordalas has defended Mason Greenwood amid the Jude Bellingham ‘slur’ allegation.
The pair lined up against each other on Thursday night as Getafe took on Real Madrid in La Liga.
A brace from striker Joselu was enough to seal a 2-0 win for Madrid as they regained top spot in the La Liga table, two points above Girona.

However, the match was marred by an incident involving Greenwood and Bellingham.
The apparent incident happened during the second half of the match after Bellingham had tackled Greenwood and footage of the alleged incident ended up on social media.
On Friday, it was confirmed that La Liga will investigate Bellingham over an alleged offensive remark towards Greenwood.
A statement read: “Getafe yesterday transferred the complaint to the La Liga match director and La Liga, as it always does on these occasions, has requested an expert report on lip reading to investigate the matter and act on the basis of what can be proven beyond doubt (by the lip reader).”

Now, Getafe boss Bordalas has defended Greenwood.
He said during his pre-match press conference: “I know the same thing that you know. It’s not up to me, it’s the club, La Liga and the Federation that have to make an assessment about it.
“The only thing that I can say is that I ask for respect from Mason Greenwood because he is a great guy.”

Bordalas added: “He is a man who respects everyone and has exemplary behaviour.”

Since joining the Spanish club, Greenwood has made 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and assisting four.
During Greenwood's time in Spain, the Englishman has been linked with another club in La Liga.
It has been previously reported that Barcelona are interested in signing the 22-year-old forward when his loan spell with Getafe ends at the end of the 23/24 season.
