Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim refrains from giving a traditional team talk in the dressing room following games – and there's a very good reason why.
The 39-year-old was visibly frustrated throughout Thursday night's clash against Wolves as his underperforming side suffered defeat for the fourth time in five Premier League matches.
To sum up their woes, United have lost five games in December for the first time since 1933 – a quite staggering statistic that sums up their woeful form of late.

After the full-time whistle, Amorim said nothing to his players in the dressing room at Molineux but this is standard procedure for the Portuguese coach, who prefers to let the emotion of matchday fade before making any snap decisions.
Amorim's wealth of experience as a player have shaped the way he coaches and, according to ESPN, It's one of the reasons he doesn't hold traditional post-match team talks. Instead, players are invited to hold their own debrief if they wish.
It is said Amorim will then address his thoughts the following day as it gives him a chance to 'further analyse parts of the game and deliver a clear assessment once the emotion of matchday has died down'.

Speaking in his post-match interview after Thursday's defeat, Amorim opened up on what his side must improve on going forward.
“We have to improve the relationships but we have some moments. I think we lack a little bit of aggression, but we train, we try to find a better way to win games, but we controlled the games, like the other ones we lost," he said.
"I think we were always in control, not always dominating, but in control, but the same things, set-pieces and also the sending off was really hard for us. I said it before everybody: it will be a long journey and this moment will be really tough. We have to continue. We need to have time to train.”

Amorim, who was also asked about Marcus Rashford's absence from the matchday squad, gave a stark assessment of their poor form.
“In this moment we just have to survive and to win some time to work on the team," he added. "We already knew it. I started this job, with the team, the new idea, without any time to train, with a lot of tough games."
